Comarch Demonstrates Network Planning & Inventory and M2M Capabilities at TMForum Digital Disruption event in San Jose
San Jose, USA, 28/10/2013 - 31/10/2013
Comarch is participating in a collaborative Catalyst project that will be showcased at the TMForum Digital Disruption in San Jose, California, on 28th - 31st October 2013.
The Catalyst demonstrates a successful implementation of the Umbrella Information Model (3GPP TS 28.620) that has been jointly elaborated and approved by 3GPP and TM Forum, and is based on the requirements defined by project NGCOR.
The project, previously demonstrated at the TM Forum Management World in Nice, in May 2013, is now being expanded into a project called “Enabling Digital Services on a Converged Network”. It shows how the currently isolated islands of operational control that exist in today’s cellular networks can be converged to dramatically reduce OPEX, CAPEX, and TTM, while improving Quality of Service (QoS). It also demonstrates how this approach leads to more efficient and enhanced converged network operations and new service introduction.
The expanded demo in San Jose adds the Core EMS and Service Initiation functions. Comarch’s partners in the project include telecom operators – Deutsche Telekom, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, as well as other IT and technology vendors, such as Juniper Networks (Junos Space), Orchestral Networks, and ZTE.
As a member of the Catalyst, Comarch demonstrates the following products:
- Comarch M2M Platform – a BSS stack for operators to manage M2M business containing CRM, order management, SIM management and billing
- Comarch Next Generation Network Planning, pre-integrated with Comarch Network Inventory and Configuration Management; the role of Comarch Network Inventory is to help coordinate the network planning process, spanning radio and transport domains and providing an end-to-end view.
Representatives of Comarch responsible for North and Latin America markets will be present at the event and available for meetings with telecom operators to discuss their current business and IT needs and find ways in which Comarch can support them.
